| - Not that i'm in Montreal often, but I think this became my go to hotel when I am here.
I picked this hotel for 2 main reasons - the location is in walking distance to the Old Port and Downtown, and I had lots of Hilton points to use. I've stayed at 2 other hotels in the area, but this probably becomes my first choice.
There seems to be a trend that the higher priced the hotel, the less is included. I did not have that issue here. WiFi has free, and was relatively reliable. A hot breakfast buffet, with a made to order station, is included. Evening snacks and drinks (alcohol) is included. The only thing that wasn't included was parking. They have their own garage, but it costs about $25 per day. That's about what I've paid at the other hotels I've stayed at, so they don't really lose any points there.
There is a gym which I only glanced at. It looked reasonably sized for a hotel gym. No pool. The room had a good sized hot tub in the bathroom. That was nice.
Downtown, Chinatown, Old Port, and the metro are all in walking distance. I had no need to take my car out during my stay. I found the soundproofing to be quite nice. I didn't hear noise from the outside hall or nearby rooms during the stay.
