  • Last week, I drove by Villa Francesca, I said out loud, " I want that restaurant to have great pizza by the slice." I tried it tonight and it was outstanding. A fresh pizza came out of the oven and I ordered a slice. I sat outside on a bench and ate my pizza. It was a little thicker than "thin" crust, topped with crushed tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella. The owner came out and introduced himself and offered me another slice!! It's good to be a girl! I don't think I want to eat pizza anywhere else in CLT. My slice was $3. The menu dinner items were $10-$15. I can't wait to go back. They are open on Sunday and outside seating.
