  • We owned a sleep number back in the early days of their beds and were not the biggest fans due to construction. They used to have a foam bar running down the middle of the bed making it uncomfortable to be near your partner in bed but they have revamped the entire bed and we had to check it out. Before I tell you about our experience we had the original one we purchased in our guest room when my parents came to visit and I was amazed at their experience with it after being frightened to death. My dad has always been in early riser due to his employment and this has carried on well into his retirement. My mother awoke one morning and we had breakfast and coffee and were sitting at the dining table, right outside the guest room, and my mom looked at the clock and it was going on 10 am. She was freaking out a little and had me go in and see if he was still breathing, needless to say he was and I placed my hand on him and asked him if he wanted to sleep some more or get up for LUNCH! He asked what time it was I told him and he was in disbelief, he proceeded to get up and then asked my mom why she didnt wake him and then I told him she sent me in to see if was still breathing! We all had a great laugh about it but this sent my mom on line to start checking out the beds. By the next year when I went to visit low and behold they had their own sleep number! NOW, back to our experience, we entered and were greeted by Mark and he directed us over to their newest model and it was AMAZING! We had told him of our problem with the other model and he stated that was all gone. Needless to say we did purchase because as soon as we got comfortable on the bed and I put the head up on it, I was able to breathe because it opened my airways immediately! Now the only problem is having to wait to get it delivered....I will update if anything goes awry with delivery because it seems that is the problem that most people had with their orders.
