| - Probably would not have made it here if it were not for the recent Yelp elite event. So glad I went. Easily the most fun I've had in a while.
The venue is fantastic, smells like the right amount of lumberjackness. Has the industrial feel while still feeling inviting for this sort of activity. We had some munchies while throwing axes, the food is adequate. Not great, not bad either. But let's be honest, you don't go here for a great meal, you go to let your inner viking loose.
The staff were awesome. Gave us the proper instruction clearly, tailored it to our own styles, and were quick to give little pointers. I didn't realise there was that much to throwing an axe. They were all super casual and relaxed, while being very strict about safety, for good reason. It made for a great environment. As long as you respected and followed the rules they ensured you had a good time.
I found out later on that once properly vetted, they will pretty much let you throw anything you bring so long as it doesn't fit through the holes of the safety fence. Battle axes, throwing stars, meat cleavers, you name it.
Needless to say I'll definitely be back soon!
What else is there to say..... It's axe throwing!
