  • Volkswagen of North Scottsdale is a huge rip-off. I took in my new 2010 Routan (purchased in February 2011) as the back door had come unhatched and flew up two times. The second time it hit the garage door and broke the glass. I had the glass repaired, but when I took the car in to VW North they told me that the glass particles had caused the rear hatch to break. I told them the hatch was broken prior to the back glass breaking. They told me Volkswagen of America would deal with the problem. I then got an email from VOA and they said VW North Scottsdale diagnosis was that they could not help me with the repairs(over $700) as there was not a faulty latch but my human error that caused the latch to fail. My insurance company said it must be reported as a collision which will raise my rates...AND I DID NOT CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN. This is a NEW CAR! I feel totally ripped off but, from many online reviews, can see that VW North Scottsdale has a reputation for ripping customers off. How I wish I would have bought a Volvo or Honda!!!
