| - If you love cheesecake then this place shouldn't be overlooked. Gotta Love Cheesecake is located in a small strip mall near Rainbow and Rancho. They serve other goodies besides cheesecake, but the cheesecake is the main reason for coming here. I was helped by Kathy, who was very helpful and friendly. I picked out 2 of the 4" cheesecakes, a couple goodies and a cup of tea.
Key Lime Cheesecake ($5.95 for the 4" size) - This ended up being the daily special, so it was actually only $4 this visit. Score! I really enjoyed this one a lot. It had just the right amount of tartness. My friend came by for a visit and I ended up splitting this one with her and she really liked it as well.
Turtle Cheesecake ($5.95 for the 4" size) - I split this one with hubby and it was just as good as the key lime one I enjoyed earlier in the day. The cheesecake has a nice texture and the crust stands out in a good way.
Kathy's Crack ($1) - This is something Kathy, who helped me came up with. It's a graham cracker with some sort of sugary goodness poured over the top. If you like sweet things then you will love this.
Lemon Tarts (3 for a $1) - I really think these pair nice with tea or coffee. I honestly didn't taste much lemon. For the amount of lemon filling that was in the center I wish there were more of an actual lemon flavor. It tasted more like a type of shortbread to me.
Cinnamon Orange Tea ($2) - They have around 12 loose leaf tea options. Kathy opened a brand new bottle of honey so I could squeeze his cute little belly and sweeten up the tea some. I enjoyed this tea at first, but then it got a little annoying. I liked the flavor however it was just a bit much the more I drank it. I would personally prefer a latte, but I'm sure tea drinkers will like the selection.
The cheesecakes come in 4", 8", 9" and 10" sizes. Any flavor can be made no matter the size if you just call ahead at least 24 hours. Not all flavors on the menu are available each day, so if there is a particular cheesecake you want then call ahead. They did have about 6 or 7 options in the case while I was there. One thing I did notice after I got home was the boxes the cheesecakes come in are a nice size, but they need to put a dab of icing, piping gel or something under the doily they put the cheesecakes on to avoid it from sliding around in the box. Also, I think if a customer buys cheesecake that the cheesecake should be the only thing that they put in the box because the lemon tarts and Kathy's crack were just put into one of the cheesecake boxes and since the cheesecake already slid around because it wasn't in place, it smashed into the other goodies.
Inside was very clean and they have tables if you want to eat inside. I really enjoyed the scratch made cheesecakes and will absolutely be back to try other flavors.
