| - The trip from the airport to the hotel was quite lovely. Everyone involved in the pickup seemed knowledgeable and pleasant. Had that been the end of my experience, I would have absolutely recommended this service to others. Now here is my return trip story:
We were told we would be picked up at 9:30pm in the same location that we had been dropped off days earlier. We waited there, along with another couple. Soon we found out that other couple had already been waiting 40 minutes for a promised 9pm shuttle that never showed and their flight was leaving soon. They were on the phone with the company and were told that the shuttle was waiting for us... then why could none of us see it? Apparently the driver was in the wrong spot. When he finally pulled around his excuse was that he is usually a limo driver and did not know we would be back in the bus area.
So we get in the shuttle, only a few minutes late for us but nearly an hour late for the other couple. The driver says he has 2 more stops to make, and the other couple started freaking out even more that they were late. The dispatcher told the driver that he had to make his stops because this is a shuttle service and if the customers were in a rush they should have taken a taxi. So we make it to the next stop, and there is already another BellTrans bus there. What? Seriously? Another furious couple gets in our shuttle, and we are left wondering why we were sent there if one of their buses was already there.
Okay so now we're on the way to the airport. No clue what happened to the second stop we were going to make. We get to the airport and the driver deliberately does not go to the bus drop off, but drives up into the car parking garage, and then continues to make a circle back to where we were. What? At this point we are stopped on some airport road ramp, and begin to back up. As in driving the bus in reverse on this road when the driver realized he just made a circle and is still not where he wants to be. We then - yes here it is, the climax - drive up over the curb, across the grass median, and plop down on the other side of the road where he was trying to get to, and continue on our way. I about died there.
In the end we pulled up to where cars would normally drop off passengers and he lets us out. I don't know what airline we were stopped at, but everyone in the bus got out, took their luggage, and ran. I think I saw an airport employee approach him about dropping off his shuttle passengers where regular cars go.
Taxis aren't that expensive.
