The place is super out of the way for me but I was finally in the area after weeks of wanting to try out Woofles and Cream and it was worth it.
Although Hong Kong style waffles aren't a new thing in Toronto, Woofles offers interesting combinations into the batter like Lap cheurg (Chinese sausage) and seaweed, cookies and cream and peanuts with Chico chips to list a few.
I ordered the Chinese Sausage Waffle and a separate cup of matcha soft serve.
Chinese sausage is definitely an acquired taste but since everything else was sweet, the savory taste of it was a good contrast.
I loved the soft serve. I liked how dense it was and the matcha taste was strong. I hate soft serve that melts the second you get it, so great treat in my opinion.
I got the two items separately so the waffle didn't get soggy too fast.
Chinese Sausage Waffle $4.5
Matcha soft serve in cup $3.5
Note: You can only pay cash, and Credit Card is only accepted for orders over $10. I would advise you to bring cash or the alternative is a dingy ATM that does not look safe to use.
