| - Wow - extremely off-putting experience in this store - i will never go back.
I decided to pop in to Nyla on my way to Want Apothecary, as it looked cute from the outside. While inside, I came across a shirt that perfectly fit the description of a shirt that my partner had been on the hunt for, so snapped a photo to send by text, as it was a $400 shirt and I wanted to make sure they liked it before I spent that kind of money.
Immediately, one of the staff (whom I now know was the manager Andrea - as I looked her up after reading all these other horrible reviews she has received) rushed over and barked at me that i should ask before taking pictures in her store. I was extremely surprised by her rudeness and the tone in which she was talking to me. She mumbled something about the vendors not liking their clothes to be in photos, but when I explained that I was sending it over to someone to make sure they liked if before i bought it, she changed her story and said something about the the position of the the shirt. She then moved the shirt to another wall and told me to take a picture and send it.
It was all very confusing, as she gave multiple reasons for not wanting me to take a photo, and then retracted them all, and then just said that she is fine with it as long as i seek her permission first. What is this - a museum? She was scolding me like a child, which was very shocking, and extremely inappropriate.
The whole situation was so off-putting that i just left the store..and will never return.
I can't imagine that any store, offering such an unpleasant shopping experience, will be around for long. Especially when competitors like Canopy Blue, or Carbon (both at Young and Eglinton), offer the same brands, but have staff that are so pleasant and kind and helpful.
