  • Soooo I'm not sure how I feel about this place. They are definitely quick on the draw. I went in to have my moles checked out. I figured we'd do a mapping and discuss some of them, and then schedule another appointment for any that needed removing. Well that's not really what happened haha. We decided there were 3 of concern and that some scar tissue I have needed to be dealt with. So she told me to lie back and "we'll get scrapings" of these and give you a shot of cortisone in your back. I was shocked and apprehensive!! She used the term scraping but really she cut them out. The two on my leg she gave me a numbing shot and didn't even let the numbing have a second to kick in and just "scraped" them out. That rather hurt honestly. Then as she got to the one on my face she told me that it was really going to hurt much worse. I'm looking at her thinking I change my mind I want out. She took it off (and yes it hurt waaaay more) and gave me the shot of cortisone and breezed out. The whole appt felt rushed, but even so, efficient. My biggest issue is that the mole she removed on my face was poorly done and I now have a big hold in my face. Every place I've ever had moles removed at before on my face were done with a laser and left no scars. The two on my leg still haven't fully healed properly and I'm pretty sure one of them might have needed stitches. However the biopsies came back negative so yay. Really they are a busy office and they get you in and out quickly. The staff up front is a bit blah, they all gossip with each other constantly and even when checking you in or out continue their conversations while dealing with you. I was a bit put off by that. Especially during my check out. The girl I paid with and set my new appt. with rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe she was just having a bad day, it happens but I wasn't impressed with her attitude towards me. The Dr. herself was thorough and like I said earlier, rushed but efficient. The assistant was nice and I liked her. I can overlook front staff as a necessary evil if the Doctor is good. However I'm really kind of upset about my face. I'm hoping the scarring will tame down and I won't need to go to a plastic surgeon to have it fixed. I don't really know how to rate these guys... I'm giving two stars because I felt like I was in a factory. If my face didn't have a hole in it I probably would have given 3 stars even though this place has that factory feel. I'm not sure if I'll be going back. I have another appt. this month for another shot of cortisone. I may go back and finish that treatment for my scar tissue but I'll most likely be on the lookout for another Dermatologist in Charlotte. I am currently 0-2 in my search :(
