  • We used Griffin's Desert Scapes for a paver project. The owner, Mike is related to the other landscaper, Unique Landscapes By Griffin, who only does the large landscaping jobs. If you request an estimate from Unique Landscapes and it doesn't exceed a certain dollar amount, they will refer you to Griffin's Desert Scapes. Our initial contact with the owner Mike was very positive. He responds quickly and has very competitive prices. He will also promise you the world when it comes time to responding to issues with the actual work. The reality is that once he has a deposit in hand, his whole personality and demeanor changes. If you point out something that needs to be corrected he drags his feet and then will make a half hearted attempt to resolve the problem. Things his crew did; turned off our drip system and left without telling us, left all the landscape lights filthy, left very little sand between a large number of pavers, etc. He even went so far as to insult my wife and I when we asked him to correct a problem with the job he did. Maybe by insulting us he figured we wouldn't call him back when we needed something fixed that wasn't done properly the first time. Overall, the work his crew did is acceptable but the pain you endure dealing with him isn't worth the end result. Find someone else to do your work. He shouldn't be dealing with customers. He has no human relation skills. I gave him one star because that is the least you can give.
