  • In the fall of 2015, my wife, daughter and I decided to buy a home in Scottsdale, AZ. Working with our real estate agent this spring, we quickly found the ideal property and began working with the mortgage company she had recommended to us. Unfortunately, the company she recommended proved to be difficult to work with and caused a significant number of setbacks due to their inability to request necessary information in a timely fashion and failed in critical handoffs between key employees - our dream quickly became a major headache. Despite repeated delays on closing on our loan, we decided to persevere through them and eventually closed on the property in March. Having such a negative experience caused us to decide to refinance our purchase as quickly as possible.
