| - Adorable concept and marketing. I've never had shaved ice cream before... Which truly was the hybrid child between ice cream and shaved ice.
It's like... DIET ice cream!!! The flavor profiles are definitely lightened, since the iciness dilutes lit the punch of flavor that you find in creamier frozen treats. But in exchange, you've got yourself an icier refresher, and I'm sure it eases up on those extra calories that most are trying to avoid in their dessert anyway!
In suit with the froyo, toppings as you desire trend, these treats can also be littered with a myriad of chunks and other flavorful glitter: cereal like captain crunch, rainbow mochi, almonds, and condensed milk drizzles, just to name a few.
Your combo creations are endless. You don't get to top yourself, so you've got a bit of the mystery factor, and portion control that is OUT of your control. They dress your treat in a seemingly balanced way.
Here was my pic. I had the horchata flavor with rainbow mochi, condensed milk, almonds, and wafers. To my dismay, it wasn't the waffle wafers, but vanilla wafer cookies, which were crispy and stale... Hard on my teeth. I didn't realize the shaved ice cream would taste so light. Had I known, I would not have chosen the mochi, also light in profile.
In hindsight, I think the popping boba may add interest to many flavors just to keep your taste buds interested.
I still have to give it a 4 though, since this is a rare find in the dessert market. I'll take blame in my poor choices.. But on a return trip to Vegas, I'd love to have another go around.
