| - I was very happy living here at highland groves for the last year, but closer and closer to the end of our lease I realized as much as we were paying for rent the apartment complex isn't *that* great. Yes, the apartment complex is beautiful, it is in a great, safe area and it is very well kept and clean. The staff, most of the time were friendly.
But let me get into the reasons as to why this complex isn't getting more than 2 stars. First, they procrastinate with what they should be doing in the office. Not once, not twice, but three times there were occasions where they wanted us to come to the office to do something, i.e when we were moving out it was time for us to give our keys but, they decided to wait till 3 o'clock that day to tell us we needed to bring the keys or it would be an additional 10 dollars per key per day that would be charged for it being "late." Now this wouldn't be an issue if they didn't wait all day to tell us to bring the keys. Second, we had a lot of issues with their rent online. Almost every time we would pay the rent it would tell us we over paid or still had a balance, then they would leave us a note on our door saying that we still needed to pay rent. Then, we would have to go down to the office or we would have to call them and they would tell us that we did pay and it was fine. Lastly, you can hear everything through the walls here.I have lived in apartments in the past, and I know that you will always be able to hear people through apartment walls, but here is the worst by far that I have experienced.
For the price fore a 2 bedroom apartment is more than 1,350 a month. Which is typical for a NEW build. These apartments are older compared to the new ones around San Tan mall or other locations and they are just as much.
I wish I could give them more than 2 stars, but the last couple of days through being relieved from the lease has left a bad taste in my mouth. It makes me extremely nervous reading the other reviews when it comes to the walk through process. I do not want to be charged up the butt in fees about "damage" that was in the apartment when there was "damage:" before we moved in.
