| - This store is literally the LAST PLACE ON EARTH you should consider buying a pet from. For starters the store smells and I doubt there is a weekly maintenance. On top of that my experience with the employees was very rude. They push a bedding that is a waste product lying to customers saying their pets will eat the paper bedding and cause digestion problems, which is a lie.
When purchasing a pet rat from this store you run the risk of illness and mites. They keep their rats in aquariums, which is not safe, and with too many. I understand that they breed them for feeders but they also misinform customers interested in the rats as pets. Rats, especially males, cannot be kept in aquariums. If you do this you will have a dead rat in no time. Even purchasing a rat from this store guarantees you a dead pet in no time. On top of that, during my visit a woman just picked out many different rats as pets all from different litters. You do not mix rats from different litters because this will lead to fighting and they'll even kill each other. The employee that helped her didn't even mention this to her, he just picked them up (by their tails might I add) and put them in a box. I have a friend who unfortunately purchased rats from this store and they told her a 10 gallon tank would be fine for two rats, one died from what I guess was an URI.
The dogs they have look sick.
Their knowledge on bearded dragons is also flawed. They're not as bad with them, but still not as good as you would expect a small pet store to be.
I already knew this store was pretty bad, so I only shop there for the small bags of seeds they offer. After my last visit I have decided to no longer support this store. I understand that this is a small business but it's not worth my money to support an ill informed, rude, and disgusting store. You are better off going to PetSmart.
