| - I recently travelled to Australia for three weeks and needed someone to look after my cat while I was gone. After using up all of my cat-sitting friend favours, I had to call in the professionals or risk losing some mates.
My cat hates everyone except me and my husband, so we didn't need someone to come every day, plus, we have cable so a friend wanted to stop by to watch TV. Provided she fed the cat and gave her some cuddles etc, she could have a set of keys.
We got a Welcome email from Leg Up, and then nothing for a few days, then one update, and then nothing for a few more days.
Then I got an email from my friend saying that there were shredded food packets all over the floor (so much so that she described it as confetti) and no water in her bowl. I started panicking that no one was coming by and my child was starving so I emailed Leg Up straight away and let them know of my friends report and asked them to end an update after each visit, which they then did.
I was glad I had my friend to kind of "check up on them" as I will admit I was a bit nervous following some of the other Yelp reviews, but when we got back, my cat was a good weight, she was happy we were home, her food and water bowls were well stocked, any doors we'd told them to leave open (due to kitty hiding spots) were, and Leg Up had left us a little note and update on the last couples of days.
Had absolutely no problems with payment or keys like some other reviewers, those parts were seamless and they were very accommodating.
Overall, I think if you're very upfront and clear about your requirements, you won't have any issues :)
