| - Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews: AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I bought my phone about six months ago, and I'm 100% sure I got insurance. I know I did, because 1) My previous phone stopped working because it was dropped and I promised myself I would never not get insurance again, 2) I had multiple family members with me all of whom remember me getting insurance, and 3) I have s toddler that just loves to steal my phone and I knew from the beginning despite the case and glass she would probably eventually cause some damage no matter how hard I tried to save it.
Anyway, I literally have no doubt that I got insurance. So my phone breaks, and I go onto their online service to get another phone. At not point do they email me back to let me know my claim "is not covered." I had to reach out to them to find out. Despite the fact that they had plenty of time to email me their special offers and customer satisfaction (HA!) surveys.
Anyway, I go into the place where nightmares are born, this location. Big mistake. we walk in, aren't greeted, hang around for about ten minutes before anyone looks in our direction. A young man walks over, the kind that comes off as if he clearly doesn't want to be there but has to be. Doesn't introduce himself but he asks what I need and I tell him my problem. He the proceeds to tell me that I don't have any sort of insurance on ANY of the phones. At this point I know he either was never trained or had been hired days ago, because my mom got a new phone with her insurance within a couple months and my brother had done the same just the week before. I tell me that, he looks again and goes "Okay, yeah, THEY do but you still don't." A little hard to believe, or is that just me?
He barely apologizes, but like I said it's probably because he clearly hates his job. Can we really blame him? I think I would prefer to be homeless than work for such a HORRIBLE, IMMORAL, SCAMMING corporation. Point being, if this man didn't make an error telling me I have no insurance, then the young woman ringing me up made a huge error by not adding the insurance. Either way, a T-Mobile employee made the error, not me. And now I have to pay off this broken phone and purchase another one costing me at least a grand altogether and through NO mistake of my own. I would tell them to train their employees better, at least in customer service, but I'm pretty sure they have no problem having their employees scam people.
I'm going in today to pay off this phone and all phones on my account and switching to Sprint. They may cost a tiny (and it really is small) amount more but I've always had much better experiences with them. No lies, no scams, you actually have service everywhere, your calls don't constantly drop with Sprint. I'm not seeing the down side.
It's probably my fault really. I should've listened to the the million people who told me to avoid this place. Don't my my mistake, and listen. AVOID T-MOBILE!
