| - What a throwback. Walking in here felt like I was walking into a time machine and going back about 30-40 years. The place looks like it has been untouched with the exception of an interesting set of flat panel screen TVs by the lobby entrance.
Other than that, even the waiter and waitresses all stress fairly different than a typical diner, which gives this place a unique vibe.
We were sat immediately on a Monday afternoon, but it took a little longer than it should have for our server to come (and mind you, I was slightly hung over and needed a big greasy meal in my belly).
Our server came (prompt thereafter), but wasn't overly friendly or anything. Just did his job and took care of us with no issues. I ordered a scramble which was huge.... really, EVERYTHING you order here can be easily split with another person. But, it was nice to take it back to the hotel to eat for dinner.
The food was decent, nothing spectacular, but I think the overall vibe of this place, along with the large portions is why this place is so highly regarded. Oh, and not to mention all of the movies that have scenes inside this restaurant over the years is probably another reason.
Would I come back here if in Vegas again? Ehhh, most likely not, but I don't have anything really bad to say about it. It's location is certainly not in the most convenient spot if you are staying and walking around the strip. It's just too far north of all the action so taking a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or driving yourself would be the most convenient option. I would imagine once they complete the new Asian-style themed hotel/casino across the street in a few years that this place will be even more busy.
Not a bad choice to eat!
