  • UPDATE 01/2018: we still go to this location and have seen Dr. Parrish as well as Dr. Picard multiple times. Dr. Buzard is still our go-to, but the other two are wonderful, as well. Dr. Picard had a big hand with Dr. Buzard in helping diagnose our dog's Valley Fever, and the early detection has made his treatment extremely effective already. We're so grateful, and we still love the Banfield Family on Hampton! I have had bad experiences with other Banfield locations in the area. I've felt as though I was being "upsold" in a way in care. But this location is so incredible. They remember us and all our animals by name when we come in, vets and Dr. We use the Wellness plan, and it is so nice to be able to come in for whatever we may be worried about and not have to pay $40 for an appointment. Though it may not be worth it for others, for our two dogs it has made a world of difference. Dr. Buzzard is absolutely incredible. She is so caring and knowledgeable. She knows my husband and I by name and remembers our dogs whenever we bring them in. I brought my dog in a couple weeks ago for limping in his leg that had been going on for a while, and today she called me personally to follow up on his condition, which is a frequent occurrence. It makes me sad when I see people like Rachel accuse this location of being a "scam", because while I agree that "chain" veterinarians such as Banfield generally can be more expensive than privately owned offices, the compassion and care we have received at this location has been so worth it, and for us the Wellness plan has saved us thousands, if only for the peace of mind I have being able to take my dogs in whenever I am worried something might be wrong. Additionally, I have never had an issue with telling a doctor we're going on hold off on something we might not be able to afford at the time or with asking for a written prescription so that I can call around to different pharmacies for prices before buying from them. They are never pushy or condescending with us, and it is something I so appreciate. We see Dr. Parrish for the first time tomorrow, and after the experiences we have had with Dr. Buzzard and previously Dr. Lee before she left, I'm sure we have nothing at all to be worried about. I will forever recommend this Banfield location to all my friends and family!
