  • Their claim of "Fast Emergency Response" on the website is laughable. Please don't waste time or energy trying to contact them, much less in an emergency. I took a Lyft home after my husband failed to pick me up from work and I didn't get an answer to my call or multiple texts. When I got to our house I found out car in the driveway and the living room lights on, this is also the moment I realized I didn't have my house key on me. After knocking on the door multiple times with no answer I called Halfprice Locksmith to have them unlock the door, however all I got was a woman with a lot of questions, a bad attitude and no desire to help. I explained the situation, including that my husband wasn't answering the door and that I was worried something might be wrong. I proceeded to patiently answer all of her questions - what is your address, what type of lock is it, who owns the house, why don't you have your house key (my favorite question), where's your husband, why can't he just let you in the house, who's the legal owner of the house, is there a back door (I'm assuming the implication was for me to try that door) who's name is on the mortgage (I even offered to show our damn mortgage statement, as proof, once they let me in the house)? At this point, I reached my breaking point with her interrogation of me and asked her, point blank, are you going to send someone to unlock my door or not, to which she responded 'No'. No explanation at all, just 'No'. Nothing but bad attitude the during the whole interrogation - I understand they need to ask questions to ensure they can assist me, however having to answer the same question(s) multiple times does nothing to expedite their "fast emergency response", it actually delays any response at all, but I feel like she didn't want anyone to respond anyway. Their website says that ''All Locksmith emergencies are treated with urgency every time'' but I guess that's only for things they decide are emergencies.
