  • What was supposed to be a beautiful thing ended up being nothing but a nightmare. My fiance and I had waited a long time to get engaged and I was so looking forward to getting my engagement ring. We have previously bought all of our jewelry and watches at Ashcroft and oak without problems. However, my engagement ring experience has not been the same. We got engaged in February it is now the end of May and my ring is still not the correct size. It was bought at a standard 5. And I am a 4 1/2. No problem I thought no big deal they can just size it. While size it they did... To a size 2 and a 1/2. When arriving to pick up the ring and finding out it would even fit on my pinky finger I was a little upset but thought I'm sure they can fix it. When I got the ring back it was a size 6. I'm still a 4 and a 1/2 not a 6. So now it's been several months and I have a Spring on the inside of my ring keeping it from sliding off my finger and I hate it. The ring still spins around and the diamond hits on my desk every single day at work. I am so disappointed in the way this ring has been size and beaten to death that it's almost not even around anymore. Ashcroft And oak has taken something that was so special to me and made it completely disappointing and disgusting and I don't even wanna go back in there again to get resize. Not to mention the jewelers not even on staff at all times they have descend it out and it takes weeks to get back. I definitely would not recommend going to this place at all. The staff is very friendly and nice and it's not their fault but their jewelry cannot get anything right. I am severely disappointed and at this point disgusted in my experience.
