| - Douching is a mystery to me. I mean, what is it? How does it work? Would I like to help a woman do it? Would I want to associate with a woman who does it? Do all women do it? Is there a root cause? Is there a special syrup?
So I looked it up:
A douche is a device used to introduce a stream of water into the body for medical or hygienic reasons, or the stream of water itself. Douche usually refers to vaginal irrigation, the rinsing of the vagina, but it can also refer to the rinsing of any body cavity. A douche bag is a piece of equipment for douching - a bag for holding the fluid used in douching.
Now, to me, this sounds like a remarkable invention. But it's recently entered the moderm American lexicon as an insult typically directed at people like me.
Yep, I said it. I know many of you think I'm douchy. What you don't know is that I always wear a condom, so introducing a stream of fluid into the vagina for medical or hygienic reasons is just not something to which I aspire.
So who are these real-life douchers? I'll tell you. It's so easy.
It's the people who stand between the bar and the line of booths at the Vig. They're in the walkway, completely oblivious to everyone trying to make it from the bathroom to the patio and back. You, my friend, are a douche bag.
That said, everything else about the Vig is rad. It continues to be my favorite bar. The staff knows my drink. Love the patio. Best people watching in town. Sundays are so fun with the Daylons or whatever they're called. The music is always good, live or otherwise. The food has improved dramatically since my first review. Pam, the GM, is awesome. I'm just a really, really big fan.
