When Sense Appeal first opened a couple years ago, it had the best coffee in the city, by far. Things have gone very downhill since then. The beans are still impeccably sourced and roasted, but god help the staff, most of whom have no clue how to pull a decent shot or steam milk properly (lattes taste and feel like warm milk). I'll stick to buying bags from here for my home setup, and Dark Horse or SJCB on-the-go.
Food is excellent and deserving of 4.5-5 stars; however, I'm rating this as a coffee place because that was their original sole offering and they still profess to take it so seriously. I don't doubt the owners do, but it doesn't show in the product.
