| - I really like the location, its collection is great and everything is clean and well stocked compared to other SDMs. Slightly hard to navigate with the ramp right in the middle of the store but otherwise it is quite nice.
However, I guess being close to Yorkville and all results in its staff and fellow customers being rather rude and/ or snobby.
The very first time I went there, the cashier asked me to put my basket in the little hole at the other cashier across from hers (where all the other baskets were stacked). A valid request I guess, though other SDM cashiers have rarely asked me to do so.
So I proceed to put the basket into the hole as requested, only to find that the hole was too stacked with baskets for mine to fit on top of them...with my hands being full of bags already, I had to put down my stuff, take out the stack of baskets, then put my own on top, which resulted in some 30 seconds of unnecessary wait while the whole line (not long, but 2-3 other people?) watched.
Which brings me to the customers (not SDM's fault I know), who seem to glare and act impatient at any slight delay at the cash - be it the customer or cashier's fault. I got this feeling almost every time I've been there, and it has gotten to the point that I'd rather walk an extra block to the other SDM just to avoid the rudeness I experience at this place.
Not that I should care about the brief 1 min human interaction when I buy toilet paper, but yeah well, customer experience is customer experience.
