| - Terrible customer service!!!!
I usually go to another salon near by (G NAILS) but they were closed. I called elegant nails and asked them if I could make an appt whenever they had the availability.
The girl asked me to come in @ 2:30 and made me wait an hour.
I wanted shellac nail manicure and the girl told me choose any colour you want from the folder she gave me with the nails.
After waiting an hour past my appointment time, it was finally my turn. I told her the colour I wanted and I was told that that particular colour costs $25 extra on top of the manicure price. When I told her it would have been nice for her to tell me that from the beginning so I wouldn't have chosen that colour, she replied: you must not be a regular customer here- our reg customers know that.
Well I am not a regular and if I was, wouldn't you know that?! It's funny bc when I did come in she asked me is it your first time here and I said yes.
Anyway that's beside the point. After waiting an hour past my appointment, one of the nail technicians started filing my nails. She only filed my thumb nail then stopped and said she had an appointment coming in ten mins. Got up and just went to the back room.
Then another nail technician replaced her in 15 mins and even though I had asked for a shellac manicure, she quickly filed my nails and did the shellac in a total of 15 minutes. No dipping my nails in the water, trimming of excess dry skin/cuticles, no lotion or massage.
It made me think -- if the first girl that had started filing my thumb nail hadn't stoped and finished her job. Her client would have only been waiting 5 minutes which is okay. And I wouldn't have been so upset but instead she just got up and went to the back for ten minutes without any consideration to the fact that I had been waiting for an hour - and THEY had asked me to come @ that time.
Then she managed to slip in a compliment "oh nice colour" before I had to pay. Girl, you must be kidding me if you think I'm gonna tip you for slipping in a last minute fake compliment after you made me wait and I was given such horrible service from you and your coworker.
After I paid, and the girl saw there was no tip. She didn't say thank you, bye or sorry for treating me rudely and just grabbed the money and walked away from the cash register. This is the first time in my life where I didn't tip someone at a nail salon.
I will never return here again!!! They are selective. They do give good service to certain clients. But are rude towards others!!
There are a lot of nail places to choose from. Prices are generally the same everywhere. What makes you stand out from the rest is the customer service you give your clients, which clearly this place lacks.
