  • A welcome break from the overly commercialized, sexualized, monetized, everything-ized world that is the Vegas strip. The Golden Tiki, located in the odd strip mall that is Vegas' Chinatown, is a temple to all things rum, fruit and little umbrella. A real locals joint, you can get a properly made Mai Tai or Scorpion here for a bargain. Ask for a Mai Tai on the strip, are you're likely to get something with grenadine. Blech! The Golden Tiki also has a DJ spinning classic rock, metal and anything that strikes his fancy. No techno or EDM allowed here. If you sit in the back room, you may be in for a treat when the skeleton in the boat starts dancing. No, I swear I saw it. And yes, I may have had a few drinks prior to that. But it happened! The skeleton danced, I tell you! This is just a cool, fun place and the perfect antidote from the sensory overload just a few blocks away. Very highly recommended!
