| - While the doctors here are fantastic, everyone else - not so much. They called me for an appointment and we scheduled it. I showed up, they said they had no appointment for me. I explained that I was called, I did NOT call them, and as I was looking for the number on my phone's call history, I asked them what their phone number was. They told me the INCOMING phone number, which was NOT in my phone's call history. So I started calling back numbers that occurred on the day I remembered and found one of their MANY OUTGOING numbers they did not volunteer to me. I should them my call history with their number. Oh well. We rescheduled. No one accepts any responsibility. No one assures me they will look into it to make sure it doesn't happen to me or anyone else again.
I come back a week later for my appointment. They hand me Spanish paperwork to fill out. I'm speaking English the entire time. I ask them if they have the paperwork in English. They said yes. I ask if they want a copy of my insurance card, they say 'no thanks, we already have it.' Then, as I am filling out the paperwork, I get interrupted. Guess why? They need a copy of my insurance card!
I get the eye exam and I leave with my prescription. This part of my experience was excellent! I come back a few days later with my wife to help me pick frames. The person that helped us was also excellent. They tell me it's about 7-10 business days to receive glasses. More than two weeks later I call to find out what the status of my glasses are and I have to endure a 7 minute voicemail message, once in English, then repeated in it's entirety in Spanish before I can leave a message. I wait until mid-afternoon of the next day before I give up waiting for them to return my call and I call them AGAIN.
No one seems to know what is going on. They say they need to call me back. About 15 minutes later, they call me and say there was a problem and they are having my glass remade. Were they ever made in the first place? Did they actually submit my glasses to the manufacturer or did the manufacturer make a mistake? They don't volunteer this information, but its safe to assume who made the mistake at this point.
They tell me I should have my glasses by the middle of next week, nearly 4 weeks after my appointment and 5 weeks after my initial appointment that they had no record of.
No one accepts responsibility or accountability.
It's really my fault. You see, three 3 years ago, when I went to them the first time, they got my glasses wrong. People make mistakes. They had them re-made and, four weeks after my first appointment, I finally had the glasses I ordered.
Last year, when I went back, I just wanted a pair of reading glasses, and they were no help picking out frames. As someone who doesn't wear glasses, I didn't know the larger frames were going to be heavier and they didn't advise me. So when I look down to read, the glass slide off of my face.
Why didn't you return the glasses, you ask? Because I didn't know if it was me or the glasses for well past 30 days (I don't need them very often).
So, when I went back to my most recent visit this year, I really should have known better.
