| - During apple-picking season, this place fills up fast, so get there early. There are two parking lots, one by the front entrance and one by the back. We were one of the first to arrive at the back lot, and by the time we got organized and got the gang out of the car, the small lot was half full!
We were mostly there for the experience of letting our young kids pick apples, so we probably picked for a total of 20 minutes before our one bag was full. The Spartan and MacIntosh apples we picked were fresh, crispy, and juicy. I don't believe there is an entrance fee to enjoy the play area, rather, you just pay for what you pick (small or large bag). I found it reasonably priced, also because there were slides, swings, a hayride, and a petting zoo for my kids to enjoy after we finished apple picking.
There are picnic tables available if you want to sit down and pack a lunch. They also sell some of the orchard's products including apple butter, cider, muffins, etc. It's not a bad place to bring your young kids for a bit of seasonal fun -- just make sure to come early and beat the crowds.
