| - My fiance and I attended a bridal expo with a ton of vendors and of course they have you fill out information sheets well, a day later I receive a phone call from one of the vendors there that we "won" a "free" vacation, wedding bands, and champage flutes. The woman explained to me that we had to attend a 3 hour sit through presentation in order to receive our free gifts. Well being newly engaged my fiance and I went to this presentation and it was a typical salesperson selling these royal prestige pots. He did demonstrations with this cookware and there was several other couples in there as well sitting through this schpeel. Unfortunately, we got sucked into buying these pots. The salesperson made these accusations that our current cookware causes cancer and that the chemical bases on our current pans at home will kill birds due to their fumes, etc. I felt scared and pressured at that point to purchase these pots. The guy ended up taking my information including my social security number as we were looking to pay these off over time. No financing was discussed with us as far as interest, term, etc. Nor did he explain to us a return/cancellation policy. Rushing us to finish the paperwork we signed and was given a copy. He basically took our deposit money and that was it. I kept getting harassment phone calls that monday from the financing company called Hy Cite Enterprises (HCE) untill I finally answered the phone to verify the order. After I did so, I started to do my homework to find out the negative reviews online as well as numerous lawsuits that have been filed with this company for the same exact thing they are pulling with me. Right away, I called back to cancel and they told me that it was too late and I had only 3 days to cancel and I was still liable for the account! I told them I did not have the funds or money to pay them and that I needed to cancel due to financial hardship. They did not care. I even mailed them their cancellation form and they claimed they received it "weeks" later. Ironically the same day I called to cancel, they shipped the pots out. Well those packages came in the mail and I refused the shipment and delivery, those pots were shipped back to this company. I am now getting harassing phone calls again and they are now threatening me that they will destroy my credit, they are getting lawyer paperwork together, charging me storage fees for sending back the pots, and that I am responsible for the full entire payment. I had contacted a lawyer who called this nasty woman and the woman refused to speak with my lawyer and hung up on him. I do not need my life ruined by this company who lures in newly engaged couples and pulls this type of fraudulent transactions! I never heard of any loan company refusing to cancel a transaction and they are ruthless! Shame on these bridal expos for allowing this to happen as well! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN BUISNESS!
