| - I went to this dentistry ONE time, and ONE time only. It's actually taken me a while to write the review as I prefer to think carefully before putting something negative online about a business. My visit was in early 2014.
Here's what happened while I was there: the dental hygienist was very aggressive in her evaluation of the gum tissue and teeth and made my mouth bleed quite badly, then the dentist rapidly diagnosed me with a gum condition requiring treatment/scaling, which no dentist has ever indicated for me previously. The dentist was very high pressure, putting me under the gun to schedule for the follow up session to scale my gums, and I didn't feel good about how aggressive they were being - it raised alarm bells with me.
My friend is a lecturer at dentistry school and told me that if I'd had a history of healthy gums, sudden gum disease was almost unheard of, and treatment of the kind they were recommending could be extremely damaging to healthy gum tissue.
Shocked, I sought a second opinion before purchasing their "treatment plan" - which was thousands of dollars.
My new dentist was hesitant to be critical of anyone else in the field, but when they saw the diagnosis from Paradise Ridge and compared it to their assessment, they were emphatic that there was an incorrect diagnosis. In short, I have a very healthy mouth that needed no intervention, and my new family dentist was thorough to make sure of it.
In my opinion, these dentists are like the new Chiropractors - charlatans interested in personal gain without empathy or concern for their patient's health.
I would personally never let these "dentists" near my teeth or gums again.
