  • Bikram is an acquired taste. For some; uni, durian, or climbing Mount Doom might be an equivalent to talking this 90 minute class. Have you ever asked yourself, "why the hell am I doing this to myself?!" That is how I used to feel about Bikram. In fact, I enjoyed the three things I listed previously above Bikram for quite some time. It was only recently that I gave the 26 poses a second chance and have come to really appreciate it. With running half marathons, my hamstrings have become tight. I have found that attending classes regularly has helped with the jelly legs after a long run, has improved my breathing, and I have more energy for the rest of my day. I have been to a few other Bikram studios and have never stuck it out pass two classes. At this location, I have been five times in the last week. It is an investment to your health. A drop in class is $20 and first time visitors get a trail of two classes for that price. You just have to return within the same week. Instead of paying each time I came, I just sucked it up and purchased the $499 for a year. This is not always going, but they do run this special a few times a year. Trust me, once it becomes a habit, it makes more sense to just spend the money upfront. They also have a two month special for $149 and a four month special for $249. The studio and facility is well kept and clean. The major complaint for most people is the smell of the practice room. It is definitely not as bad as the other studios, but you will never be able to escape the smell of sweat in a carpeted room. The locker room has basic toiletries. The staff is what makes the studio enjoyable. I have taken classes with Jordan, Michael, Nita, and Summer. Each one brought me to a different place within my practice and pushed me to challenge myself.
