I'm very well versed in the style and atmosphere of Revolver and wanted to try something new, so tonight my friends and I went to Stoney's.
First things first- the location is fantastic. Absolutely awesome to be close to the Strip but far enough away that you feel like you might possibly be surrounded by mostly locals instead of just tourists.
The dancing lessons at 7:30pm are worth getting there early for, which we did. The crowd is much more relaxed and skilled at the majority of the line dances. Even just watching from the sidelines is worth it. By 9 and 10pm, the dance floor is simply PACKED.
The place has a very cozy feel to it, one that you don't get at Revolver. The music selection is superb and the DJ is really cool about taking requests.
Both places are equal distance from my house, but I'll be sticking with Stoney's now that I've been.
