I went last night with my wife. I'm torn in this review a little. I feel like my experience should have been great. But it wasn't. The service was top notch - our waiter was terrific. I have no complaints about service. The service was top notch and what I would expect. I think it was the value for the food I got that troubles me. The popovers were huge- but they weren't warm and while we ate them all they weren't overwhelming. The chef sent out a tasting pâté. It was good but it was too salty and I like salty food. Our glasses of wine were very expensive for what seemed like very small glasses of wine. My NY strip was huge and good, but I don't think it was $45 good. I've cooked ones as good at home for a fraction of the price. And then I had to order a side for $11. My wife got sea bass grenobloise. It too was good, but at $36 with no side it just seems like it should have been better. Our sides - BBQ corn and Brussels sprouts were both great but I don't think they were $11 great. We didn't have room for desert but the chef sent out a dessert petit four for us. They were good too and appreciated. Maybe I'm just not a steakhouse person. It just seems like for the prices we paid the meal should have been memorable and special. Instead I felt like it was fine to good. Take it for what it's worth - just one opinion!
