| - I saw Dr. Peiffer when I had been experiencing cognitive issues -- memory loss, difficulty concentrating, inability to organize. As I described my experiences to him, he sat and typed. After I was finished, he spoke to me as though I was a five-year-old. He was dismissive and patronizing, seeming not to believe me. When I realized I was not going to get any help from him, I began to cry. He was absolutely stunned, saying nothing. My husband stepped in and asked what tests we needed to run. Dr. Peiffer was much more comfortable talking to him. As we left, I saw that he had written in my summary that I was a "depressed and anxious housewife". As it turned out, I had several serious neurological problems and have spent the last two years getting rehab. I will have some problems for the rest of my life. After that experience, I never saw Dr. Pieffer again, finding an empathetic female neurologist. I would suggest avoiding this doctor unless you are a man.
