| - A few friends and I went here for brunch on 3/18. The location is not in the heart of uptown, but it's not far away. My friend lives right near the Panthers stadium and it was a quick uber ride to the restaurant. Since we took an Uber, I am not sure about the parking situation because I just wasn't paying attention to that. We made a 2:00 reservation, but were having issues with our Uber and called the restaurant to let them know we were running behind and they were understanding and gave us a little more of an extension. We arrived right on time and were immediately seated. We were seated in the front of the restaurant near the bar and it wasn't really busy. The restaurant is large and they have an outside patio and a rooftop area (with a fantastic view I might add).
They are doing a brunch buffet right now so I decided to take a look and see if I wanted that or their plated meal options. The buffet was small and OK. It wasn't bad, but not great either. I did decide to do the buffet since I could just get as much as I wanted for about $17. Some of the items on the buffet include: waffle station, carving station (there was pork and beef on that particular day), biscuits and gravy, meatloaf with cabbage (that was so good!), corned beef hash, cookies, salad, pastries, etc. You could also order eggs, bacon, and sausage made to order in the kitchen and brought out to you. The food was really good.
The drink specials were $5 mimosas and bloody marys and $10 manmosa (2 mimosas and a shot of vodka). I ordered a manmosa and it was good. Strong and good.
I would definitely recommend this for lunch, but I will try one of the plated options next time.
