| - Ok... i'm a little upset regarding Staples policies..
This review is for Staples overall policy, and for experiencing it at this location.
My wife and i ordered a table last week. They were out of stock ( a sale item that is out of stock... and when i go home and check best buy - they had plenty in stock). We decided to purchase it here due to the teachers discount. We can wait a few days for it.
So we put my wifes name, and my credit card (the tablet is for her, and i am paying for it)
makes sense ... right... WRONG !!
I go to pick it up.. I show them the bill of sale, my credit card and drivers licence. Nope, can't release it to me, because name on bill is not me.
I said that makes no sense.. I am the credit card owner, my driver license shows my address - same as my wifes on the bill. ... their answer is "thats their policy". So it takes 2 people to come pick up this item.. ?
I go home and call customer service to let them know that this policy should be reviewed. He confirms that it is policy for the store associate to match the exact name to the receipt.
Lesson learned... If ever.. i go back to Staples to purchase something that they have to order, then insist on them to add your wifes name, your girlfriends name, your brothers and sisters name, your bosses name, !!!! Just in case you have them pick up the item from Staples.
Really bad policy!!
