Golden Steer is a bit of old Las Vegas charm where you can get a traditional steak dinner where there's plenty of large leather booths, wine glasses, plates and napkins. This place is something out of the 1950's that's appears not to have changed in years. There's pictures of John Wayne and other's from that era on the walls. You come here for a steak or some prime rib and the typical side dishes.
We shared the bone end rib eye that was about 22 ounces and plenty to share between two people. Got a bottle of wine and started off with some Oysters Rockefeller. It was a simple dinner, but we were pretty full and didn't have the side dishes.
If you want to get off the strip and you're into old school steak houses, this is a good place to go and get away from the strip (about $20 taxi) and go back in time.
