  • I had high exceptions coming to this restaurant. It exceeded those expectations. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel special, welcome, and completely catered to every step of the way. The evening starts off with choice of water (sparkling or still) and offers of drinks. While settling in and looking over the menu, we were brought a chunk of rich parmesan (cut off the huge slab at the table) crusty fresh bread, and sautéed mushrooms. Some in our group ordered appetizers (the mushroom ravioli was fabulous). I ordered the mozzarella and tomato salad. It came with a huge chunk of soft, creamy cheese atop thinly sliced heirloom tomatoes over a bed of fresh greens. All was drizzled with a rich Balsamic Vinegar dressing. It would have been a perfect meal by itself. For my main dish I had the Sole Meuniere with a side of asparagus. The beurre-blanc was light with just the right balance of lemon to enhance the delicate fish, but not to overwhelm it. The fish was cooked to perfection and filleted table side. Yes, I had dessert. Out table ordered three different items to share, but I must admit, I ate most of the Tiramisu. It was light and creamy and not overly sweet. Service was outstanding - attentive but not smothering. Very professional and gracious. The timing and presentation were perfect. They were able to choreograph the entire evening to allow a leisurely experience while keeping us fed and attended to without intruding. A dear friend recommended this restaurant to us. Unfortunately he passed away a few days after we ate here. My only regret for this entire experience was that he and his wife were not here to share this amazing meal with us.
