  • Full Disclosure: Prior to my issues stated below, I would have rated 4 stars. The staff was friendly and the experience was no where near as traumatic as I had anticipated. As it stands today, never in a million years would I recommend this place. I had an MRI done in 2014 and, thankfully, was awarded a clean bill of health. I paid my share of the liability in full and went on with my life. Fast forward nearly two years and I begin receiving threatening collections calls and letters demanding a payment of an insultingly low amount. After multiple phone calls to Pueblo and requests upon the collections agency to provide some form of proof that I am liable for the debt, I finally get someone on the phone with Pueblo. They claim that my initial "Paid in Full" was later altered by my insurance company to be a "paid almost in full" and that they had no responsibility in notifying me of the new discrepancy. The billing department was both elusive to contact and cemented in their unapologetic tone and demeanor. They expressed no remorse in their (almost) detrimental impact on my otherwise flawless credit report despite my continued efforts to point out the initial discrepancy was, in large part, their fault. All of this I would have forgiven if they would have just taken my money and called off their collections guard dogs, but they refused to even consider that course of action. Instead, they proclaimed that the "debt" must be settled through that agency and that I am now personally liable for the collections fess despite their inability to provide any concrete proof of their efforts to contact me. My options were basically to allow this to drag on via dispute with a looming threat the debt would be reported to credit bureaus, or to pay. I made a painfully difficult decision to avoid the uncertain waters of disputing a negative mark on my credit report and ended up paying the difference AND the unwarranted fee. Again, I am young, healthy, college educated, and consider myself quite capable. I can only imagine the stress this would place on someone that was in a worse predicament. I caution you, try to find somewhere that will make a more solid effort when it comes to relieving the stress of an MRI or any other major medical expense.
