  • This is the childhood dream of the most amazing woman I have ever met! She has been there for almost 7 years now and is a neighborhood favorite. Shelley grew up learning how to bake in her Grand Ma June's kitchen. BTW Grand Ma June just turned 100 this year and is still going strong. When Shelley opened she wanted to stay small and neighborly to create the experience of an old world shop with the confections custom tailored to delight everyone who drops in. She has taken everyone into consideration. Before it was popular or trendy Shelley created a line of Gluten Free pastries, followed by another that is Sugar Free. Both are wonderful in that they taste just like the originals. Over the years Shelley's Specialty Desserts has lead the way by offering the best selection of custom crafted Wedding cakes and Party delights for everything from Same Sex Weddings to Adult Themed Parties. If you have an idea Shelley will make it happen for you. Although this shop remains little and cute in the Historic District at Glendale's Catlyn Court, she has been in the news over the years because of her exceptional work and quality level of everything she makes... So, if you want the best REAL Desserts without all the additives others use, Stop in and take a bite if anything and I know you will agree. What Shelley has created truly is the home of Specialty Desserts!
