  • So I went to Cold Stone Creamery Saturday afternoon for an ice cream and decided to indulge in a lava cake sundae. The piece of "cake" was 2" square and was heated in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then a less than half scoop of ice cream was put on the side and a drizzle of fudge with way too much whipped cream and chocolate "shavings". So first of all the small serving of ice cream was okay, I removed 2/3rds of the whipped cream and the crunchy, tasty stale and old shavings. I took one bite of the cake which was old, crusty and bland; threw that away. $6 plus tax, most expensive 1/2 scoop of ice cream I've ever had. I went in just to say how disgusting the cake was and was stared at my one of the young counter girls who said, shrugging her shoulders, "sorry". Customer service is dead. I will never go to Cold Stone Creamery again.
