  • I would give them fewer stars if I could. I had not been to the dentist in some time as I did not have insurance and finally went mid April after getting some. Should have done some research before just going with whoever would take my insurance. So I go for my check up and the dentist tells me I have 3 cavities I need filled and I need a root canal. He asked if it hurt. I said no. His response, "well it's going to. That's what you get for not going to the dentist for years." Very unprofessional. But for some reason I let him do my fillings for me. Afterward I was told I had to pay before I could leave the office which I have never done before, usually they bill insurance first and then send you a bill. Plus I asked the receptionist before the appointment if I had a copay and she said no. After I went home I had a lot of pain. At first I just figured my gum were irritated or something but after a few days I realize one of them was not properly done. It was too tall and caused so much pressure in my mouth I couldn't hardly eat. Just swallowing hurt. Then I had to wait another month to get in to see him again to fix it. Then they wanted to charge me for that visit. Also this appointment the receptionist called in a prescription for a patient while sitting right in the window and gave the patient's date of birth and ssn and everything. Hello hipaa violation. Good thing I didn't want to steal his identity or go get his meds. The doctor while working in my mouth kept talking to his hygienist and commenting on what was on the tv. I felt like he wasn't even paying attention to what he was doing. Acted like I didn't exist. About this time I got the statement from the insurance company and found out I had over paid them by $50. I asked them about it when I was in to get the filling fixed and was told they hadn't received anything from the insurance company and couldn't give me any information about that. Well my tooth now is super sensitive to anything remotely warm or cool and I cringe to sip a drink. I do not want to go back to them as they are horrible and owe me money so I have to find someone else to fix my tooth. I called back after a couple weeks to ask about the overpayment and get a run around. The office manager would have to deal with that and they aren't in. Stuff like that. I keep calling at least once a week. Finally in July the receptionist admits they owe me the money but they want to put it in as a credit on my account. No thank you. Not going back. A couple of days of calls between us and they say I will have a check within 2 weeks in the mail. I wait 4 weeks. Nothing. Then the office starts calling and leaving me messages about if I had that root canal so they can make appointments to put in a crown. No thank you. I am calling at least ince a week asking about my money. Finally mid September I call and tell them I need the money they owe me or they can expect a letter from my lawyer. Behold 3 days later there is the check in the mail dated the day I made that call.
