Summary: Thumbs down!
My first Yelp review was inspired by the unsatisfactory experience at this Hallmark. In the past I've patronized another Hallmark store in my area, but it recently closed. I was happy to find this Outlet store also close to my house.
I purchased two different Christmas cards for the young daughters of close friends to hold the gift cards we were giving them. When I showed both to my wife, she much preferred one over the other and suggested that we get identical cards for the girls.
I returned to the store the next morning expecting the typical business practice of a favorable exchange/refund policy since I had the original receipt.
The staff informed me that they would not exchange or refund under any circumstance. When I inquired why, I was told "It's because we're an outlet". I also asked how they informed their customers of their unusual refund/exchange policy. Their response was: "It's printed right there on the bottom of your receipt". Unless customers specifically ask, their only indication of the unfriendly policies in force is AFTER they pay!
This store also charges the full MSRP as printed on the greeting cards. They're not pricing their stock like other "outlet" stores. So, you get to pay FULL price but not get FULL service.
My advice - go to a non-outlet Hallmark if you wish to patronize the company. Their refund/exchange policies at other stores are more what the American public has come to expect from a retailer.
Personally, I believe the policies at the outlet store are made by the company. Therefore I will take my business elsewhere.
