  • Really a great hotel start to finish. The many reviews suggested that it was like old vegas and honestly I would agree. It just had a different feel overall... still a gambling resort/hotel, but almost everything was in good upkeep and the people seemed to have a little more... class. I'm not 100% sure I can describe it, but it seemed they were still paying attention to a lot of those little details. For example, we went one day to their little mini food court to grab a slice of pizza... long story short the CHEF of the little pizza place and I had a long discussion/teaching lesson about the proper way to not create heat and acid in pizza sauce. Along with how their 60 degree oven temp difference and humidity difference caused them to use 4 different flours versus up in front of the hotel which only used two and the overall gluten content difference in oz's. It was so incredibly detailed for just the random pizza food court chef. Honestly, there was multiple honest to god chef's in the food court, that just floored me in general. The check in was nice and we got Jasper to check us in who was FANTASTIC. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. We mentioned it was my wife's birthday weekend and she offered a different tower, but a much larger room, which was fantastic. Supposedly they were doing construction nearby, but we never heard it. Marble bathroom, comfy bed, great pools. We really enjoyed it overall... ended up at Cleopatras barge which I had heard about from my mother from 30 years previous. We almost might say we liked cleos barge as much as we liked some of the mega clubs as it was super lowkey and fun, but honestly, we're talking a fun chill bar with a mini dance floor vs a mega club...not in the same ballpark. Still relaxing and fun. Overall had wonderful food and an excellent time... couldn't have asked for more, wonderful visit.
