Today was my second visit to Yoli's and will be my last. I was craving a chorizo omelet however they only have a chorizo barrito and a chorizo skillet- whoops.
I asked the waitress if I could get the Green Eggs and Ham Omelet but with chorizo instead of the ham. The waitress said sure but then asked if I wanted the ham too because "she will likely still charge you extra for the chorizo"- red flag.
Omelet was better than Brunchies across the street- that was before the flies started attacking; we were sitting on the patio.
As promised by the waitress (who was great by the way so don't take your ["she"] "money before the customer" mentality out on her), when the bill came there was a $2.29 up-charge on my $6.99 omelet for replacing the ham with chorizo- an outrageous overcharge and poor decision given the shortsightedness of not having a chorizo omelet on the menu.
The "money before the customer" mentality might be a good short term solution to increase your bottom line, but as you now know it is bad for building good Yelp reviews.
