  • I had an ultrasound & they brought me in to tell me my lump is of concern & that I need a biopsy. As you can imagine, that is terrifying news. They said they would fax my paperwork to a specialist, & the specialist would call me to set up an appointment for a consultation & then surgery. A week later, I hadn't heard anything. I called Downtown Drs to ask where we are in the process. I was told that the paperwork had not yet been faxed & that I'm not special & I need to wait. A week. All they had to do was fax paperwork. A full week. Five business days. You can't tell someone that they have a concerning lump & then DO NOTHING for a full week. I'm doing my best to be calm, to not freak out, to not expect the worst. Chances are I'm perfectly healthy & nothing is wrong, & they're not rushing because they're confident I'm fine. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD how can you not fax papers in a week. Nothing can happen UNTIL YOU FAX THOSE PAPERS. I am completely powerless to get a diagnosis until you FAX THE PAPERWORK. PLEASE FAX MY PAPERWORK. You're holding me hostage & I'm losing my mind. Please fax my paperwork.
