I'm not sure I can say anything about Taliesin West that hasn't already been said, but I will add my voice to the chorus because I loved it so much.
This was probably my favorite thing we did on our short trip to Phoenix in April. I've read about FLW- both non-fiction and historical fiction - and this was the first of his houses I've been able to see. It was so cool to be able to sit in the room where he held "Taliesin Nights" and sit at the table where he would meet with clients. I love that it's a working architecture school. Having students live and work at Taliesin keeps it a living, breathing work of art.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed learning more about FLW. It inspired me to want to tour the country visiting all his houses!!
After reading about Taliesin, I still had no idea how to pronounce it until I got there. FYI, it's ta-lee-EH-sin.
