| - Pet Value in the Galleria Mall is one of the few saving graves that keeps that mall alive. The people who work there are some of the most genuine animal lovers you can find. Each and every employee is bashful anytime you walk in with your pet, and shower it with treats and pets.
They also do a lot for the Toronto Cat Rescue including having Adopt a Cat days, and countless fundraisers where the proceeds from purchasing items in the store go directly to Toronto Cat Rescue.
They also are very qualified at what they do. I have reached out for their advice on many matters from food, to bedding, to what to do to prevent chewing.
Shortly after our oldest cat died suddenly due to liver failure, we were inside Pet Value to get some food for our dog. Next to the counter they always have kittens up for adoption, and that's when we met our new kitten Roxy.
During the adoption process they were extremely helpful, and grateful that we were helping out Toronto's cat population.
As for prices, they are a little steeper than I could find say at Walmart, but the service is above top-notch so I have no problem paying a little more to ensure they stay in the neighborhood for years to come.
The bones they sell in the red wrappers next to the counter are my dog's favorite. He is remiss if I don't grab him a new one every 2 weeks.
Best of all they have their own resident cat, Essie who is the sweetest cat I have ever met. Even after I accidently stepped on her tail once, she always makes a point of coming to greet me. Maybe its because I pick her up for cat scratches.
