  • First, the good: The "A" units have awesome views. The staff is, for the most part, extremely helpful. Now the bad: I rented a unit here. These are condo units built in the 70's and individually owned. Be advised that nearly every unit has, or has had a dog(s) or cat(s). Even if you tell your prospective landlord that you are allergic, they lie and say "No pet history." So, carry a blue-light flashlight to inspect any carpeting when you view. Most likely, there will be pet stains covering 50% of the carpeting. The carpets smell bad in the hallways, too. This is a dated building that was allowed to go without proper maintenance for many years, so there was an invasive pipe project going on to "reline" the vertical stacks rather than replace. The unit owners were given a break on price if they did their lateral lines, as well. I smelled sewage every day from the day I moved in. I reported numerous leaks in the closet housing the water heater and furnace. Bathrooms needed many visits by plumbers, as the sewage pipes were HORRIBY messed up, so they backed up. The showers leaked. Landlords think their units are "prestigious" and do not give a rat's roar about the health of their tenants. I finally started developing symptoms of methane/mold poisoning. My Drs. Looked at everything in me before we discussed my environment. I mentioned the sewage odor and pipe issues. I also had chats with some very forthcoming workers who verified that methane was a problem everyone who lives in the building shares. My medical team told me to GET OUT. One day, I heard people talking around the pool. They were guessing that the deaths of a few residents over the winter were probably due to gas poisoning. I thought I was going to die, too. I telecommute for work, so I was subjected to the smells/gases and whatever else all day long. Finally, when I needed to take medical leave because I was having every day migraines, severe tachycardia, shortness of breath and memory loss, I was able to have a relative come out to Vegas, help me with gathering my personal effects, and fly with me to my relatives located states away. RENT/BUY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Have a plumbing company come out and take an air reading for poisons. Ask the owner if they had their lateral lines relined, as well as the vertical stacks. If not, do not buy or rent the unit until that work is done, or you'll regret it. Look at the clothes dryer venting. Ask about any venting issues. Most of the windows/sliding doors have leaks. Your NV Energy Bill will be atrocious. You will not get good recption for your cable/DSL unless you bug Cox Cable enough to make them measure the signal strength. Messed up, old wiring in the walls! I took samples from vents, visible mold, peeling paint, etc. I'll soon know what surrounded me and what felt like was killing me. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN. As the other review stated, the "improvements" being made were like putting lipstick on a pig.
