  • Every time we go to Sweet Republic, the friendly staff encourages us to try almost every unique flavor in the case. As I understand it, this artisan ice cream is made at one of their locations with local ingredients. They have incredibly creative, yummy flavors that rotate frequently, so go often to catch the flavors before they disappear. In one flavor rotation, Sweet Republic made the best chocolate ice cream my husband has ever had (Szetchuan Chili Chocolate, as I recall). Recently, we have started splitting the Campfire S'more sundae, as it is plenty for two people and you can switch the ice cream flavors out to try new combos. And, of course, you can't beat the freshly toasted homemade marshmallow on top. Pros: -Freakin' delicious ice cream in a kajillion unique flavors. -Friendly staff. Clean, artsy interior. -Locally made!! Cons: -Kind of spendy, but no more so than an ice cream chain like Coldstone.
